Now taking bookings for 2012

French Garden Adventures is your entree to some of the most beautiful private and public gardens and in 2012 we are exploring gardens of the Aquitaine region of South West France.
France has always been a country of great horticultural skills and mastery of style.
Our tours and visits are designed to appeal to those with a wide range of gardening skills and who want to add to their knowledge.

We have a wonderful collection of private as well as public gardens, such as the water lily garden of Latour-Marliac famed for its water lilies and lotus plants, Jardin d'Eyrignac and Marqueyssac with its topiary, which will be of interest to garden lovers throughout the world. There is much to discover in the Dordogne with gardens of historical and botanical interest together with landscaped and contemporary gardens. Many traditional gardens have been adapted or altered over the years. Differing approaches to garden design vary as much as does the landscape and climate. Many are a reflection of their surroundings; others are dramatic and geometric in plan; some show English or Italian inspiration while others are guided by colour and are the product of a personal vision.

The Aquitaine region offers a feast for the lover of gardens making the choice sometimes difficult. The visits have therefore been been themed to help with the decision.
