This month we discovered a wonderful small lavender farm in the nearby department of the Lot. Run by a New Zealander and his English wife this visit was an absolute treat. Suzie gave a friendly and relaxed introduction to the various lavenders they grow while we sat under the nut trees just below the lavender fields. The scent was wonderful. Ian then showed his amazing lavender harvesting machine, which has been modified from a Japanese tea leaf cutter. Quite ingenious! We then retreated to the barn where Ian showed us the distillation process followed by an English Tea. They make the most wonderful products and we can definitely recommend the anti-bug spray. All in all a delightful afternoon.
