The first daffodil of 2020

We have been enjoying a mild winter with beautiful days. Needless to say the spring bulbs are pushing up and we have the delight of looking at our first flower by the antique cross. This is always the leader as it is warm and sheltered by the wall.

A frosty start in the Dordogne

We woke to a beautiful crisp frost. The land was covered in a blanket of white and the silence was complete. Not a thing stirred. It really was magnificent and perfect for a walk across the land. As the day warmed up so life stirred once more and we enjoyed a day outdoors.

Happy New Year

The New Year has brought beautiful frosty nights and glorious moons. It is a wonderful time of the year with the countryside seemingly asleep but still showing signs of life and waiting for the Spring.
